Prayer: THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME

Do you believe that God will answer your prayer? Or do you feel like He only answers prayer for others? 

In O.T. times God was not approachable. One day a year the High Priest was able to go into the inner sanctuary and approach God. It was a solemn day, a dangerous day for the High Priest. That was then, but today Jesus has made a way for us to approach God. He says in Hebrews 4:16 that we are to approach the throne of Grace with confidence.

Using the book of Hebrews, Jo presents three reasons to believe there is POWER IN JESUS’ NAME. No matter who we are or what we have done, there is power because:

(1) He understands our humanness,

(2) He is approachable, and

(3) He is able to deal gently with those who go astray.

The session ends with a drama showing how to approach the Throne of Grace.
